About Social Spot

We found these platforms to be overly superficial and time-consuming, often making it difficult to connect with someone meaningfully. We envisioned a solution where people could meet face-to-face in a dynamic, engaging environment. This approach allows for the discovery of personal qualities that photos and text conversations simply can't convey.

Through conversations with women in our community, we gained valuable insights into their dating concerns. This led us to prioritize safety and comfort by designing our platform around group settings and asking people to refrain from flirting or asking for phone numbers. Rather using the website after the event to send matches which must be reciprocated by the other person before messaging can occur.

We also recognized the challenges of flirting or exchanging numbers in everyday group environments like work, sports, or the gym. Social Spot offers a space where you can make your move without the fear of awkwardness or rejection, when you send a like on social spot, it stays invisible unless the other person also likes you, meaning you can continue to attend events without fear of running into a person who rejected you and creating unneccesary awkwardness.
